Just one day after his notorious duel with Aaron Burr, Alexander Hamilton died on July 12, 1804. Fraunces Tavern Museum will commemorate the life and death of Hamilton with an evening of special programming. The Hudson River Ramblers will perform Alexander Hamilton: His Life in Story and Song, preceded by a processional at Trinity Churchyard to memorialize Hamilton at his grave site.
Schedule of Events:
5:30pm - Excerpt reading of Mr. Gouverneur Morris’s funeral oration at Hamilton’s grave in Trinity Churchyard. Includes flowers to be laid at his grave.
6:00pm - Processional back to Fraunces Tavern Museum
6:30pm - Alexander Hamilton: His Life & Times in Story & Song, Program begins (~60 minutes + Q&A)
