Lift your glass and toast to America’s independence on this two-hour walking tour of Revolutionary War history with Ellen Baird. Designed for novices and history buffs alike, this tour explores the sites and history of the crucial events that took place in the streets of Lower Manhattan before, during, and after the American Revolutionary War- from the Stamp Act Riots to New York’s Tea Party, and the Sugar House prisons to George Washington’s farewell to his troops at Fraunces Tavern.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Once your tickets have been purchased, you will be emailed a confirmation receipt and the starting location of the tour within 24 business hours. Refund requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of a ticketed event for a full refund. Any refund requests made within 24 hours of an event or after the event date has occurred will not be possible.
Ellen Baird has been creating and conducting hundreds of tours of neighborhoods, museums, parks, and other sites in New York since 2011, exploring the history, people, places, and culture of the city. In addition to touring, Ellen has worked as a museum educator at the National 9/11 Museum and taught a New York City history course involving walking tours at Pace University’s English Language Institute. A former dancer, Ellen was a member of the award-winning theater group, Red Dive, which produced site-specific performance tours in both famous and off-beat areas in New York.
