Celebrate Evacuation Day at the Museum with $1 admission! On November 25, 1783 British troops evacuated New York City, the last City to be occupied at the end of the Revolutionary War. General George Washington led his troops in a parade down Broadway, with a celebratory dinner being held at Fraunces Tavern. Visit the Museum to learn more about this important piece of New York City history and check out our new Evacuation Day brochure, which tracks the route of the triumphant parade.
