Celebrate Evacuation Day at the Museum with $1 admission! On November 25, 1783 British troops evacuated New York City, the last City to be occupied at the end of the Revolutionary War. General George Washington led his troops in a parade down Broadway, with a celebratory dinner being held at Fraunces Tavern.
