In honor of Presidents’ Day and George Washington’s Birthday join Morris-Jumel Mansion and Fraunces Tavern Museum for a look at George Washington’s experiences in New York City, and New Yorkers themselves, and how they played a formative role in his life and career. From soldier to commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and then as first president of the United States, Washington’s time in the City and at both historic buildings shaped the course of his life and legacy today.
