Did you know? ~ George Washington was born on February 11, 1731. During this time North America was following the Julian Calendar. However, in 1752 Britain and its colonies adopted the Gregorian Calendar, which had an eleven day difference to accommodate leap years. Therefore, George Washington's birthday is now recognized as February 22, 1732.
